Mocha Man is a family owned business, situated in Frankston on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula. Darren Scheen is the owner of Mocha Man and he brings a wealth of experience to the role.
Darren has been involved in the food industry for over 25 years. He is an experienced barista and the former deli manager at the exclusive Cellar and Pantry specialty food and wine store in Red Hill, where he has worked for many years.
After noticing how difficult it is to find top quality coffee and service, especially with limited time on a lunch or coffee break, Darren decided to put his experiences on the road.
His passion for coffee is the driving force behind his love for this business. Whether you are a true coffee connoisseur, or just enjoy a good cup, you will look forward to his daily visits and be able to enjoy more of your precious break time.
Excerpt taken from The Age Epicure, Tuesday, January 18, 2011:
"Good coffee can be brewed in the most unlikely places. Friends had recommended the Cellar and Pantry general store in Red Hill but I was sceptical - until one balmy morning recently when a good-looking rich, smooth flat white appeared on the table before me.
And, yes, my coffee tasted as good as it looked. Baristas Darren Scheen and Michelle Ball have built up a cult following on the Mornington Peninsula. During the week, the regulars queue up for takeaway coffees from the La Marzocco machine and at the weekend the pace is more leisurely, with the few tables out front much in demand."
